The Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra faces an uncertain future.

The organization failed to pay its musicians as promised, putting the future of the next concert in doubt.

The city's 74-year-old orchestra is facing $1 million in debts.

On Tuesday, musicians rejected an offer to slash their salaries to keep the symphony operating.

A spokesman for the musician's union says negotiations are to continue on Saturday.

A decision on whether musicians will attend rehearsals and play their Jan. 24 concert could come as early as Sunday.
