This needs to end NOW! We are paying billions of dollars out of our pocket that we could be educating our children or helping OUR poverty!!

Chad, the number of soldiers lost thus far exceeds 4000, not 2000. Overall, I would have to agree with Bill Thomas.

Vern My mother always said it is far better to keep your mouth shut and have others think you are a fool rather than open it and prove it.

Some of you in here have some serious issues. It's a DEMONcRATic controlled congress. THAT should say it all.

No, Chad, if only we had not fought in WWII, Hitler would have won and we wouldn't have to deal with the new neo-cons of the 3rd Reich, they'd already be here. You think Montgomery should "stop complaining" because his tax dollars are being wasted by corporate fraud? You think the good guys are at the top? You think this war is the same as all the others? You think war is a profitable venture? Well, sir, keep sipping the kool-aid and keep it away from my cup!

Being a Veteran myself I can say that this arguement is easily negated with just a quick look in the history of war and money. War helped pull our country out of recession on more than one occasion. Our recession is being caused by many different issues. Oil prices and other large players in our economy are driven by estimations of future costs. We saw this when the first little oil spike shot over the $100pb mark. One rougue trader caused havoc for the entire market. This war is a just war and it is time you look at more than the major news for your opinion. Take a look at the news people that are there every day and talking to the Iraqis and Afghans. They see the good. We have lost some soldiers and I hate that. But quit complaining about the loss. It is disrespectful to those that paid the price. We have lost approx 2000 soldiers. Compare that to another war we weren't supposed to be in (WWII) and the millions that died the first day. They paid the price.

Well of course! Keep voting for war mongers and we'll all be eating out of tin cans and trash bags. Where are the Americans screaming out for out tax dollars to improve our country? Our money is lining the pockets of corporate greed. Halliburton feeds 5,000 troops and bills tax payers for feeding 40,000. Are you all okay with this?
