After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Three people are dead after a double murder suicide Tuesday night.
It happened in the Manitou Lake Recreation Area.
The Teller County Sheriff tells 11 News, they received a 9-1-1 call at about 9:30 from a male party calling to report a double murder and suicide.
Sheriff Kevin Dougherty says he believes the caller was the suicide victim and that he shot an adult female, a young male, and then himself.
It's unclear if the victims are related, but the Sheriff says they're believed to be summer campground hosts at the Manitou site, who may live in other parts of the state or country.
