The 197th annual National Western Stock Show is underway and officials hope to break last year's record attendance of 632, 296.
Stock show spokesman Bill Saul says that could happen since the Denver Broncos aren't in the playoffs and good weather is expected.
Saturday's attendance could approach last year's record of 34,894.
As of Thursday night, total advance ticket sales for all rodeos and horse shows stood at 140,000.
Just under the 144,000 sold at the same point last year.
