Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
A 61 year old Denver man died while skiing at Aspen Mountain today. The man was found unconscious against a small aspen tree. Members of the Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol tried to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An aspen spokesman says the man was on a double black diamond run when he skiied off the trail and hit a tree.
His name is not being released.
Pitkin County sheriff's deputies are investigating.
This is the fifth death on the slopes this season. Two people have died from health related problems, such as heart conditions.
