(New York-AP) -- A defamation lawsuit filed against the New York
Post by the parents of JonBenet Ramsey has been settled.
That word comes Wednesday in an announcement both sides made. The terms were not made public.
Post spokeswoman Suzi Halpin says the action was resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.
The Ramseys' attorney, L-Lin Wood, confirmed a settlement, but would not disclose the terms.
John and Patsy Ramsey filed suit against the paper in May 2000, alleging the newspaper libeled their son Burke by portraying him as the prime suspect in his sister's murder.
The boy was nine at the time of the killing.
