There are now more parking spaces up for grabs in downtown Colorado Springs. A new city parking garage opened on Monday.
It's located at the corner of Bijou and Cascade and will be open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. City officials say that may help with parking problems downtown.
To encourage use of the garage, the first hour of parking is free. That's a special promotion that will last until Jan. 31.
After that, rates are 25 cents per half-hour with a $4.50 daily maximum. Monthly passes are also available for $50.
