Jennifer Abernathey's worst nightmare has struck twice. With the violent death of her oldest son last month, the Fountain woman has now lost two children to apparent homicides.

Abernathey lost her 7 year old daughter Aaren Dunn nearly 2 1/2 years ago. The girl was stabbed to death in Manitou Springs by her delusional father who thought he was killing the devil.

Now Abernathey is grieving the loss of another child. Her 25-year-old son Nathanael George was found unconscious of an apparent beating attack outside a bar in Imogene, Iowa, a few days before Christmas. He was pronounced brain dead and taken off life support.

Abernathey says she has no choice but to accept the reality she is living.
