Colorado Springs Police say two people were shot Wednesday Night on the 2200 Block of Robin Drive, near the intersection of Constitution Ave. and North Union Blvd. Police say the shooting happened during an attempted robbery.

Springs Police say the two victims were parking their car in an alley behind a home on the block just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night when they were approached by two hispanic males.

The male and female victims say the men asked them to borrow jumper cables for their car and then proceeded to pull a gun on the couple. The victims refused to give the men any cash and were then shot by the suspects.

Springs Police report that two shots were fired, one hitting each of the victims. Police say the wounds were luckily glancing, superficial wounds to the male's back and the woman's stomach. The victims did not have to be transported to the hospital.

The victims reported that the suspects drove away in a light colored car, possibly a light-blue colored Dodge Intrepid.

If you know anything about the crime or were in the area of Robin Drive around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night and saw the suspects, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

I agree on the illegal immigrants Ann, but it does not state in the above story that they were illegals. The police could not be more useless in trying to link crimes and look further into them then face value of the crime. I am sick of getting speeding tickets from them when they could be preventing real crime. Either way our words fall silent to them. Good luck!

When are the police going to start to crack down on the illegal immigrants. Everytime we hear of a crime this past year in the news, its always an illegal. They should be treated like terrorists. Get them out of the US. Most of them have no respect for our forests and lakes, they leave trash everywhere. What is the police department doing? Seems to me, ever since they pulled in the outsider to be chief, the crime rate has risen.
