Cooler Wednesday...PM Rain/Snow Too!

Anti War Rally

Hundreds gathered in a park in Denver for a march and then a rally at the State Capitol to protest threatened military action against Iraq. Many used overturned five gallon plastic buckets as drums and chanted anti-war slogans; while others carried signs denouncing the United States' policy toward Iraq.

Some of the protesters, including 65 year old Phyllis Addison
of Colorado, are veterans of war protests since the 1960s. Others such as a group of students from Cherry Creek High School in Denver are participating in some of their first anti-war protests.

Eighteen year old Nick Slater led a group of about eight students who say they're concerned a military strike will lead to more anti-American sentiment -- and more terrorists attacks.
