A popular holiday tradition has come to an end. Bob Telmosse's annual Christmas Giveaway has been cancelled this year because of his poor health.
For 18 years, Telmosse has been Southern Colorado's version of Santa Claus. You may not know his name, but you've probably heard of his Christmas giveaway. He's known for giving away food, toys, clothes and even gifts for parents.
Last month, Telmosse announced his health was deteriorating. He suffers from a bone marrow disease, so he was only going to give away food.
But on Friday, Telmosse made the decision that the food giveaway would also be called off as well --- he tells us he simply doesn't have the strength to do it.
However, he still wants to help Southern Colorado, so Telmosse is donating his entire stock to Colorado Care and Share. That organization provides food and charitable donations to dozens of area non-profit organizations.
