Colorado Springs Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping.

It happened Friday afternoon at Roosevelt Edison Charter School. Officers say a 6-year-old girl was leaving school and approached a vehicle she thought was her aunt's. An 11 or 12-year-old boy shoved her into the vehicle. When it pulled up at a nearby apartment the girl was able to escape from the vehicle and run for help.

The vehicle is described as a white jeep-type SUV. Officers say it was driven by an adult Hispanic female who spoke Spanish to the victim.

If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP in Colorado Springs or 542-STOP in Pueblo.
