A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Several inches of accumulation will be possible in areas where these bands develop. For more information click the ‘Weather’ tab...
There's evidence that a 16-year-old suspect in a double homicide near Crystola shot the victims again after he killed them. Josiah Ivy has been charged as an adult with the deaths of Stacy Dahl and her husband Gary Alflen.
The couple was found in their home on Nov. 6. Investigators say Ivy used a sheet and a pillow to shoot the victims in the head. Court documents state the other suspect, 20-year-old Michael Paprocki was starting the car to leave, when he heard Ivy fire the gun at least two more times. The two also burned the couple's car to destroy evidence.
Paprocki also faces charges for the murders. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 30.
