Moderate snow continues to fall for some areas of northern El Paso and Teller Counties, accumulating in the grass and yards. Meanwhile, in the plains and along the southern I-25 stretch, light rain/snow mix continues. Take it slow on the roadways - due to VERY strong winds, we are seeing blowing dirt and snow (depending on the region), which is tremendously reducing visibility. Lawyers for a rape counselor at odds with the Air Force say they're ready to take her case to the Supreme Court.
The announcement came after the federal appeals court in Denver backed out of the case today and reinstated an arrest warrant for counselor Jennifer Biers of Colorado Springs. The appeals court said the military court overseeing a court-martial of a former Air Force cadet accused of rape should decide her fate.
It's not clear whether authorities planned to arrest Biers immediately but she says she's still willing to go to jail to protect the confidentiality of her client.
A military judge wants to review the records to see if they're relevant to the court-martial, which is set to begin next week.
