A 6 year old girl died today after falling through the ice on a lake in a Denver park while she was trying to recover a shoe. Police say 2 other people who dived into Garfield Lake to help the child had to be rescued.
The child was under the water for 45 minutes before she was
pulled out by divers.
Her name was not released.
She died afterbeing transported to Denver Health Medical Center.
