After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Authorities have found the body of a missing hiker in the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. 29 year-old Jason Loving disappeared more than a month ago. His body was found yesterday. Authorities believe he committed suicide with a hand gun. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
The monument is 160 miles south of Denver and features 750-foot
dunes, the tallest in North America. Loving had stayed there on October 19th and 20th. An extensive search had been activated just after his parents filed a missing persons report at the end of October.
