This Memorial Day, a northeastern Colorado family that sent four brothers to World War Two is hoping the thief who stole the Purple Heart awarded to a brother killed in battle will return it.
Don Becker is a veteran of the D-Day Invasion. A culprit who broke into his Greeley home earlier this month took the medal awarded to his brother -- Richard-- who died fighting and was buried in Anzio, Italy. The family says Richard's name was engraved on the back of the Purple Heart. They're hoping that will make it harder for someone to sell it.
The medal was a source of pride for the family and had been passed along through relatives.
