Authorities discovered the body of 49-year-old Joni Glisinski-Torres early Saturday morning after a resident of her apartment complex called police about a disturbance.
She was stabbed to death.
Lieutenant Pete Carey of the Major Crimes Unit says there were no signs of forced entry.
The killing occurred just hours after Glisinski-Torres offered to make soup for a sick friend, then decorated her own front door with gold Christmas paper and a silver bow.
