Orchestra Budget Cut

The new head of the Colorado Springs Symphony faces a tough job. Larry Barrett must grapple with potentially fractious labor negotiations with musicians as he looks for ways to cut the orchestra's budget.

The symphony wants to boost ticket sales by $100,000 and get 700,000 more in contributions this year and that will still leave the organization running with a $45,000 deficit.
