Snow is expected to develop for our Monday afternoon and overnight hours. Bands of heavier snow are possible..and something we will be monitoring throughout the day today. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Watch for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. The American Civil Liberties Union is accusing Colorado Springs police of keeping surveillance files on peace protestors and sharing the information with Denver police.
Earlier this year the ACLU announced Denver police had been keeping spy files on people who've attended political protests and pushed for their release.
Now the ACLU says Colorado Springs police have been monitoring Citizens for Peace in Space, a Colorado Springs group which opposes nuclear weapons. Information about the group was found in Denver police files including the names and license plate numbers of people who attended their rallies.
