A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Several inches of accumulation will be possible in areas where these bands develop. For more information click the ‘Weather’ tab...
Colorado's unemployment level is up slightly to 5.1 percent.
That's up two-tenths of a percent from the month before but still down from the 5.6 percent from the same time last year.
Colorado's jobless rate is still lower than the national average which is at 5.2 percent.
State economists say it's not unusual to see fluctuations as the labor market gains in strength.
