After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon, though areas in higher elevations could see 1-2". Frontier Airlines wants to expand its service to Mexico.
The low-fare carrier is seeking federal approval to add one nonstop flight from Cozumel to Denver, and nonstop flights from Puerto Vallarta to Salt Lake City and Kansas City.
The service would be offered three times a week on all routes.
Frontier hopes to get the go-ahead to start the new service in November.
Denver-based Frontier serves 48 destinations in 25 states and Mexico, from its hub at Denver International Airport.
