Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Highs in the 30s and 40s will feel colder when factoring a blustery northwest wind. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A grieving community says goodbye to three of their own.
A Penrose couple and their young son died in a head-on collision 10 days ago.
Thursday, friends and family came together in their memory. More than a hundred came to pay their respects to 12 year-old Jesse Sprague and his parents, Lauri and Chip.
The 3 died in a car crash a few miles out of Penrose earlier this month.
Chip Sprague's sister, Robin Helle, shared her thoughts.
"They were humble people. They would talk to anybody. They would befriend anyone. That's just the way they were."
Amanda Leyta, the young woman who also died in the crash, was from the Penrose area.
Chip Sprague's relatives say this tragedy is bringing their families together and wish them nothing but love and support.
