Hello Wonderful Mary Kay World!
Just wanted to let you know that a director friend and myself went yesterday and delivered the first donations you have all so graciously donated. We counted everything before we took it to the Firefighters and it amounted to $5,643!!! You all are absolutely awesome!
You should have seen the scene when we pulled up in that pink Cadillac! there were little pup tents everywhere that the off duty visiting firemen are sleeping in and big red fire trucks parked everywhere too!!!
I had gone to Kmart and purchased three huge plastic storage tubs to put all the sunscreens, lip balms, lip protectors and moisturizers, night creams and extra emollient night creams in and they were sooo heavy to pick up.... but the firemen came right to the trunk and were more than happy to unload them for us. They were soooo grateful and also said all of those products, a total of 593 separate items which amounted to $5,643 retail, would probably all be gone within ONE DAY!!! That just shows how many firemen are here from all over the U.S. helping Colorado with this tragic wild fire!
Thanks so much for all you are donating, and please know you can continue to send any donations for me to deliver to them! They said they will be fighting this fire about three months!!!!
My name and address again are:
