A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. From the state's byways to the information superhighway, state lawmakers are considering a proposal that would allow local governments to establish their own wireless networks as long as voters approve if tax dollars are used.
Senate Bill 152 allows the governments to install wireless antennas.
But opponents of the bill say municipalities should not compete with private businesses.
The bill goes before a house committee Tuesday.
