Keystone Ski Resort opened after receiving nearly three feet of fresh snow in the past two weeks. More snow is on the way this weekend. Three lifts and four runs are open including runs at the mountaintop of about 24-hundred vertical feet. The base is about 18 inches. The resort opened October 26th last year with only one run at one-thousand vertical feet because of poor snowfall. Keystone started snowmaking October 16th. The National Weather Service is predicting an additional two feet of snow in the high country by Sunday. The resort is expecting about three thousand skiers and snowboarders each day this weekend.
