A Colorado company that said last year it planned to build a new airplane factory in Albuquerque, New Mexico is apparently having second thoughts.
Aviation Technology Group of Englewood (Colorado) said it wanted to build its new Javelin airplane at an airport on Albuquerque's west side.
The Javelin is a high-speed civilian aircraft.
But Aviation Technology spokeswoman Sara Newton says the deal the company negotiated didn't come back on paper as promised.
Newton says Front Range Airport in Watkins and Centennial Airport in Englewood are now in the running for the factory -- along with Albuquerque.
New Mexico and Colorado are considered the front-runners, but Utah has also expressed interest.
A decision is expected this summer.
