Two bodies have been found at a residence near Crystola in the mountains west of Colorado Springs and the El Paso County sheriff's office has begun an investigation.

Spokesman Lieutenant Rodney Gehrett says one body was found when a woman apparently went to check on a friend and she called for help. When deputies arrived about mid-afternoon they found the second body.

No names have been released but authorities say the victims are a man and a woman. Their relationship hasn't been confirmed yet.

Authorities say the two apparently died of gunshot wounds and the case is being investigated as a double-homicide. Police also say a vehicle belonging to one of the victims is missing from the scene and they described it as a 1997 green Subaru Outback with a Colorado license number LGB-4-9-6.
