State lawmakers will get a briefing on problems that have arisen from the state's $200 million welfare computer system.

The Colorado Benefits Managed System has been experiencing glitches that have caused a backlog of nearly 30 thousand cases and crippling welfare recipients from receiving adequate benefits.

It was put into effect last September, as ordered by Governor Owens, even though workers complained of problems.
