Frontier Loss

Frontier Airlines says a four million dollar second-quarter loss reported today reflects the ongoing struggle with declining business travel and the slumping economy.

The loss was 13 cents a share, compared with $7.3 million in income or $0.24 a share for the same period a year ago.

Frontier officials said they expect a moderate loss in the third quarter.

Last year's second-quarter results included federal aid to airlines after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Frontier's net income was $1.8 million or $0.06 a share, without the aid.
