Gas and Go

Prices at the pump are now topping over two-dollars a gallon. The rise in price is spurring something called a gas and dash.

Colorado Springs police say it's a problem, and it's not just teenagers doing it, adults are too.

One local gas station is taking action by writing down the license plate of every car filling up with gas. If someone takes off clerks file a police report.

While it may be a mismeanor theft, it's enough to lose your license.
