Rescuers hope six snowmobilers last seen Friday in southern Colorado were able to find a cabin where they could hunker down.

The snowmobilers are members of two Farmington, New Mexico, families. Betty Groen identified them as her stepson Jason Groen; his wife, Shannon; and 14-year-old daughter, Aspen. She says they were snowmobiling with Mike Martin, one of Groen's employees, his wife, Missy, and their 13-year-old son, Jessie.

The Colorado State Patrol says rescuers were looking near 10,222-foot Cumbres Pass just north of the New Mexico border.

Whiteout conditions hampered search efforts Sunday.

A search from the New Mexico side was suspended due to snowy conditions and bad roads.

New Mexico State Police say Colorado authorities found the group's pickup and trailer at a snowmobile parking lot and hope they were able to find one of the cabins dotting the area.
