A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. One race the Democrats did win in Colorado is in State House District 18, but just barely.
It was a two-man race was between Democrat Michael Merrifield and Republican Dan Stuart.
With 100% of the precincts now reporting, each received 48% of the vote. Only 75 votes separated the two candidates. Libertarian candidate Keith Hamburger received 4% of the vote.
Merrifield said he's happy to provide some good news for his party. "Ecstacy, astonishment, real excitement. Just too intense really, really."
