Airport Security

(Denver-AP) -- The government has replaced privately employed
passenger screeners with federal employees at six more Colorado
airports.
Screeners employed by the fedearl Transportation Security
Administration have taken over at Sardy Field in Aspen, the Eagle
County Regional Airport, the Gunnison County Airport, the Montrose
County Airport, Walker Field in Grand Junction and the Yampa Valley
Regional Airport in Hayden.
T-S-A screeners already are working at the Colorado Springs
airport and in much of Denver International Airport.
The T-S-A was created by Congress in the aftermath of the
terrorist attacks.
The agency has until November 19th to deploy federally employed passenger screeners to all 429 commercial airports nationwide.
