A 26-year-old Venezuelan man who collided with a tree while snowboarding at Vail Mountain last month has died.
Resort spokeswoman Jen Brown says Francisco Pauly was airlifted to a Denver hospital on December 26th and died on Friday.
She says the resort learned of his death only after family members informed resort officials, because of federal privacy laws. His hometown was unavailable.
It was the fourth accidental death this season at a Colorado resort.
Curt William Hubbell, of Castle Rock, was killed Friday after hitting a tree while snowboarding at the Breckenridge Ski area.
Earlier last week, 12-year-old Alexander Jensen, of Wylie, Texas, died at The Children's Hospital in Denver after colliding with a tree while snowboarding at Winter Park the previous day.
Ashley Stamp, a 13-year-old ski racer from Steamboat Springs, died on December 19th when she was struck by a snowmobile at Vail before a race.
The boyfriend of Clint Eastwood's daughter, 42-year-old Michael Combs of Calabasas, California, died of a seizure disorder while snowboarding at Vail. His body was found on December 14th.
