A school bus has crashed in the slick and stormy weather in Colorado Springs.
Around 8:30 Firday morning, the bus collided with a car near the intersection of Marksheffel and Barnes Roads. State Patrol says the accident happened after Roseann Tucker lost control of her car, and spun into the oncoming bus. She died on the way to the hospital. Five children were taken to Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the bus was Tracey Suarez. It belongs to the Falcon School District and was headed to Falon Elementary at the time of the crash.
The district says that all Falcon District bus drivers have commercial driver's licenses and get extensive training on how to handle bad road conditions.
