If you're in crunch time when it comes to shipping out those Christmas gifts, a little bit of relief courtesy the U.S. Postal System.
Several locations have extended their hours. And 6 locations around Colorado Springs will even be open Sunday.
Ron Perry, customer relation director with the USPS, says around this time, the motto is "you snooze, you lose."
"Once we get into that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, you're going to run into the bottleneck aspect of things and it's just going to slow the process down more."
A couple of quick tips:
If you're trying to ship a gift within the state, the recommended deadline is Wednesday. Within the U.S., it's Tuesday. And if it's going international, good luck. The deadline's already past.
