It's making money but it could still shut down. Rumors say Albertson's may close its 61 stores in the state because it's trailing King Soopers, Safeway, and Wal-Mart Supercenters in market share.
The grocery chain has closed 213 stores mainly in the Midwest.
Also causing trouble for the chain are current labor issues with its 2,000 union workers.
A company spokesman says no changes have been announced.
