After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
High crude oil prices and increased seasonal demand are leading to higher gas prices.
Over the past 2 weeks, the average price for a gallon of gasoline climbed 6 cents.
As of Friday, the combined average price for all grades was just under $1.94 a gallon. That compares to $1.87 a gallon on January 21st.
The Lundberg Survey of 7000 gas stations found self-serve regular was priced at one $1.91 a gallon while premium averaged $2.10.
Lundberg says consumer demand for gasoline is recovering following bad weather in January. If OPEC cuts production, more increases are likely.
Oil prices are now about 40 percent higher than they were one year ago.
