A campaign is under way to try to recall the Crowley County sheriff -- who faces four felony charges. Sheriff Jeff Keyes is accused of spilling contaminated waste during a drug arrest and then lying about it to health officials.
An organizer of the recall effort says several people are concerned about what they see as low morale and high turnover in the sheriff's department.
The 45-year-old Keyes was arrested in December on charges of trying to influence a public servant, tampering with evidence and other charges related to the arrest at a suspected methamphetamine lab in Ordway. He's due in court on February 16th.
