Resigning?

After a long, hard-fought year, unnamed university sources tell a Boulder newspaper CU's Athletic Director Dick Tharp will resign as early as Monday.

Tharp and the athletic department came under fire earlier this year for allegations of sexual assault in the football team's recruiting practices.

Tharp has been the Atheltic Director since 1997.

He was not available for comment. But a school spokesman says he knows nothing about the possible resignation.
