Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. A 12 year old in Pueblo is dead, after a go-cart accident.
It happened Sunday at around 5 p.m. Police tell 11 News the driver and his passenger were riding the go-cart on North Erie, near the River Trail. They say the go-cart went down a steep embankment, and flipped.
The driver died, and the passenger was taken to Parkview Hospital.
Police say speed was a factor in the accident. And they say neither victim was wearing a helmet.
They're waiting to release names until they can notify family.
