Vice-President Cheney in Colorado Springs

Vice President Dick Cheney said that under Democratic leadership, the Senate has become dysfunctional.

Cheney spoke Saturday in Colorado Springs at a fund-raiser for GOP House candidate Marilyn Musgrave, of the Fourth Congressional District.

Cheney criticized the Senate for not giving more power to the new Department of Homeland Security and for blocking President Bush's agenda.

Musgrave's opponent in the House race is State Senate President Stan Matsunaka of Loveland. The Loveland Democrat has been gaining support as the Nov. 5 election nears.
