The El Paso County Coroner's Office has answered some questions on a mysterious burned body found in the Pike National Forest.
And it may be that of a woman missing since earlier this week.
Autopsy reports say the body is that of a white female who died of a blow to the head.
Two hikers found her about 3 miles north of the Rampart Shooting Range.
But according to family members 11 News spoke with, the body is Beverly Mountz who's been missing since Tuesday night. They say they were notified by Colorado Springs Police Saturday afternoon.
In the meantime, police have detained one of her sons who they consider "a person of interest" in her death.
