Police say a man wanted in a string of sexual assaults in Arizona, California, Nevada and Oklahoma was arrested Tuesday at a veterans medical clinic in Colorado Springs.
Police say 35-year-old James Selby was arrested on a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution -- and he was being held in the El Paso County jail without bond.
He's wanted in Oklahoma for a 1999 assault on a child and in Arizona in a series of rapes and sexual assaults in 2001 and this year. He's also under investigation for a series of assaults in San Diego and for an attack on a 12-year-old in Nevada.
Police say the U.S. Marshal's Service notified police Selby was at the Veterans Administration outpatient clinic. Earlier VA facilities had been notified to watch out for Selby, who is a veteran.
