Colorado Springs fire investigators have pinpointed the cause of a fire at a town home on the city’s southeast side.
It happened Sunday afternoon just north of Airport and Murray. Firefighters say a child playing with a cigarette lighter started the fire in an upstairs bedroom. Damage is estimated at $30,000.
A single mother and her four children lived in the town home. They did not have renter’s insurance.
