General Motors is recalling more than 700,000 minivans because passengers could hurt their arms or wrists opening a power sliding door.
Company spokespeople say the affected models are the 1997 to 2005 year model Chevy Venture and Pontiac Montana minivans, along with the 1997 to 2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and the Pontiac Trans Sport, year models 1997 through 1999.
In the meantime, GM recommends owners use the driver's switch or key button to open the sliding door.
