A Bible publisher from Colorado is joining with several other groups to provide up to 1 million Bibles to needy families in developing nations.

Zondervan of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the International Bible Society of Colorado Springs are joining forces with World Vision to produce, ship and promote the Bibles. The books will be printed in dozens of languages and sent to 22 countries.

The companies say for each copy of a Zondervan or Zonderkidz Bible sold at full retail price from now through Dec. 31 World Vision will distribute a Bible donated by the International Bible Society to a Third World family.

Zondervan is providing materials to promote the project.
