Snow is expected to develop for our Monday afternoon and overnight hours. Bands of heavier snow are possible..and something we will be monitoring throughout the day today. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Watch for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. Just days away from decision day, a survey by Mason-Dixon Polling Search shows President Bush is 7 points ahead of Senator John Kerry in the state.
The poll shows Bush has 50 percent of the support of Colorado's voters while Senator Kerry nabs 43 percent. Five percent are still undecided and there is a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
Other polls indicate the race is much closer which has both sides still campaigning heavily in the state. Vice President Dick Cheney is set to appear in Colorado Springs Monday.
