One of three federal lawsuits at the center of the University of Colorado football recruiting scandal has been dropped.
In a written statement, 21-year-old Monique Gillaspie says she is withdrawing her lawsuit with "great reluctance."
Gillaspie, who says she was raped by two football players, says the process has been extremely painful and invasive.
She describes the tactics used by CU as "Guerrilla warfare" and says she's no longer willing to endure them.
CU spokesman Ray Gomez says the university mounted a vigorous but ethical defense.
Gillaspie, a former CU soccer player, sued in January, alleging the athletic department retaliated against her after she talked to police about a football recruiting party where two other women said they were raped.
